PL Community Solutions is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Therapist to join our growing behavioral health team in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. As a licensed behavioral health provider and DBHDS-licensed agency, PL Community Solutions delivers evidence-based, community-centered care with a deep commitment to regulatory integrity, quality outcomes, and client dignity. Our MST program operates in full alignment with MST Services model standards and Virginia Medicaid and DBHDS requirements. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful, lasting impact working with small caseloads, receiving ongoing clinical supervision, and being part of a team that takes compliance, quality, and sustainability seriously. About Multisystemic Therapy (MST) MST is a highly researched, evidence-based treatment model designed for youth ages 12-17 who exhibit serious antisocial, delinquent, or at-risk behaviors. MST therapists work holistically with youth, families, schools, peers, and community systems to create sustainable, strength-based behavioral change. Fidelity to the MST model is maintained through structured supervision, ongoing training, and consultation ensuring both clinical quality and compliance with program standards. Duties and Responsibilities Carry a small caseload of 4-6 families in alignment with MST fidelity standards Conduct comprehensive ecological assessments of youth, family, peer, school, and community systems Develop and implement individualized, strength-based treatment plans using MST principles Engage primary caregivers, family members, school personnel, and community supports as active partners in treatment Participate in weekly group supervision, team case planning, and ongoing professional development Maintain clinical documentation that meets DBHDS licensing, Medicaid billing (H2033), and audit readiness standards Collaborate with crisis response teams and community partners to ensure continuity of care Deliver services in clients' natural environments, including homes, schools, and community settings Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 family access to support Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in or holding a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related clinical field Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three (3) years of direct experience in youth and family services may be considered New master's-level graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license and reliable personal transportation Must reside within 30-45 minutes of Chesapeake Virginia Must meet QMHP-C or QMHP-A credentialing standards as applicable under Virginia Medicaid Preferred Experience Current or eligible licensure in Virginia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) Prior experience delivering in-home or community-based therapy services Familiarity with structural, strategic, or functional family therapy models Experience with cognitive-behavioral interventions for youth Knowledge of Virginia DBHDS regulations, Medicaid billing, and documentation standards Prior MST training or experience with other evidence-based, family-centered models Experience collaborating with probation, child welfare, or school-based teams Why PL Community Solutions PL Community Solutions is a DBHDS-licensed, DMAS-enrolled behavioral health agency serving the Hampton Roads community.
