Job Description
The purpose of this position is to create and connect youth to services/programs that encourage positive development for the City of Spartanburg and is responsible for collaborating with community partners to provide opportunities for youth. RESET (Resilience, Empowerment, Support, Employment, Transformation) is a summer youth employment and violence intervention program that engages youth in wellness activities, academic development, and career exploration. Program serves youth between the ages of 14 and 19 who live in the City of Spartanburg and are ready for change. Hours will not exceed 32 hours per week. Coordinates the summer youth workforce readiness program. Facilitates youth employment and violence intervention sessions that engage youth in wellness activities, academic development, and career exploration. Meets with community partners to organize site visits and events. Communicates with parents to help connect youth to services. Enters and monitors data into web-based system to keep track of program status. Assists in the monitoring and compliance requirements related to youth development activities. Performs related work as assigned. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills to work with a diverse group of young people. Prior workforce coordination experience preferred. Associate's Degree Required. Pay Rate is $18 per hour.
