Sunday School Teacher

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sunday School Teacher to join our Youth and Family Ministries (YFM) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and holding space for the spiritual growth of our youth. This candidate will be working with youth ages 5 - 11 yrs or youth ages 12-18. Duties Assist with greeting families and checking in the youth Implement engaging lessons using the Unity Curriculum Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive learning environment Collaborate with staff, volunteers and the YFM Director to create an inclusive atmosphere that supports diverse learning needs. Adhere with care standards and safety regulations as established by the church Help clean up afterwards Requirements Patience, kindness, flexibility and love for children Availability on most Sundays from 10am-1pm Participation in quarterly Staff/Volunteer Meetings Background check and Safety training (will be provided) Open communication with the Youth and Family Ministries Director Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff. Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
