Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Youth Leader to inspire and empower young individuals in our community. This vital role involves creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where youth can develop essential life skills, build confidence, and foster positive relationships. As a Youth Leader, you will serve as a mentor, role model, and advocate, guiding youth through their personal growth journeys while promoting healthy behaviors and social development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives and contribute to their future success. Duties Develop and implement engaging programs and activities tailored to the interests and needs of youth, including educational workshops, recreational events, and mentorship sessions Foster a welcoming environment that encourages participation, respect, and inclusivity among diverse groups of children and adolescents Provide one-on-one mentoring support to help youth navigate challenges related to behavioral health, social skills, or family dynamics Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to support the holistic development of youth in various settings Manage conflict situations with patience and effective conflict management strategies to maintain a positive atmosphere Monitor youth progress and provide feedback to program coordinators for continuous improvement Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during activities or outings Skills Strong background in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable Experience in behavioral health or child welfare services to better understand the needs of vulnerable youth Proven ability to work effectively with children and adolescents in educational or childcare environments Excellent mentoring skills with a compassionate approach to guiding young people through personal challenges Knowledge of social work principles and child development theories to inform supportive interactions Skilled in conflict management techniques to resolve disputes calmly and constructively Ability to teach life skills, promote positive behavior, and foster social-emotional learning in diverse settings Join us as a Youth Leader and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to nurturing the potential of every young person. Pay:
