Juvenile Case Aide and Group Facilitator 25 South Grafton Street, Romney, WV 26757 From $33,000 a year - Full-time From $33,000 a year - Full-time Join our dedicated team as a Juvenile Case Aide and Group Facilitator, where you will play a vital role in supporting youth involved in the juvenile justice system. This dynamic position offers an opportunity to positively influence adolescents' lives through mentorship, behavioral interventions, and group facilitation. You will work closely with high-risk youth, their families, and community partners to promote growth, accountability, and positive development. Responsibilities Facilitate engaging group sessions focused on adolescent development, behavioral health, and life skills. Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) within classroom and group settings to promote constructive behavior. Support youth with special needs or disabilities through tailored activities and individualized attention. Collaborate with families, schools, and community agencies to develop comprehensive support plans for youth. Assist in managing conflict resolution and de-escalation during group activities or individual interactions. Provide mentorship and guidance to help youth navigate challenges related to child welfare, mental health, or high-risk circumstances. Document progress notes, incident reports, and case updates accurately to ensure effective case management. Qualifications Experience working with children or adolescents in educational, childcare, or youth program settings. Must be willing to work evenings and some weekends to accomodate juvenile schedule's when they are in school Knowledge of special education principles and working with individuals with disabilities. Background in behavioral health or social work is highly desirable. Familiarity with positive behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies such as PBIS. Strong communication skills for working effectively with youth, families, and team members. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with patience and conflict management skills.
