Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Take the next step in your educational career by supporting middle school students as a dedicated school social worker. In this full-time contract position for the 2026-2027 school year, you'll work with a caseload of 35 middle school students at a supportive, welcoming environment near Flemington, NJ. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who have a strong background in middle school student support and who are passionate about making a meaningful difference during these formative years.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active and valid Social Worker certification required Strong school social work background, specifically with middle school populations Experience in case management at the middle school level (not seeking new graduates) Familiarity with New Jersey's "Real Time Database" system is highly preferred Ability to provide both individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of approximately 35 middle school students Implement individual interventions and group programs to support student wellbeing and academic progress Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective support plans Document casework and interventions accurately using the "Real Time Database" Participate in school meetings and multidisciplinary teams to advocate for student services If you're eager to use your skills to positively impact young lives and have the experience we're seeking, this is the perfect role for you.
