Job Description

JOB The Adult Coed Softball League Umpire is responsible for officiating league games in a fair, consistent, and professional manner while promoting sportsmanship and participant safety. This position ensures games are conducted according to league and softball rules and helps create a positive recreational experience for all participants.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Officiate adult coed softball league games according to league rulesEnforce game rules, policies, and sportsmanship standards consistently and impartiallyManage game flow, maintain control of contests, and make accurate judgment callsAddress conflicts and unsportsmanlike behavior appropriatelyKeep game times on scheduleReport incidents, injuries, ejections, or rule disputes to league staffEnsure participant safety during games and weather-related situations
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, jog, and move throughout games for extended periodsVision and mobility sufficient to make accurate calls during playScheduleMonday nights: June 1 - end of AugustPayPay starts at $24.00 per game - can be negotiated due to experience
