Job Description:

At Regions, the Software Engineer oversees application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. This role monitors system applications, ensures systems run smoothly, and creates reports and other documentation outlining findings/solutions. This position sits within Regions' Technology department. Primary Responsibilities Assists with the development and installation of new hardware and software Installs and configures systems and other software Tests installed software for malfunction detection Identifies and resolves business systems issues Assists with the design and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operation systems Measures effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems Monitors and tests system performance Performs routine systems duties Performs daily actions focused on administering defined processes May have work thoroughly reviewed by more senior associates This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Core Entity Framework Core SQL Server React.js and Node.js GIT Basic experience in AWS (Amazon Web Services) Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Basic experience in Terraform Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL.
