  • Part-time Overview We are seeking a Solar Installer to join our team.
This role involves installing solar energy systems on residential properties, ensuring safety, compliance, and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, construction, and roofing, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. Responsibilities Install solar panels and related electrical components on various types of roofs and structures Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation Connect high voltage and low voltage electrical systems following NEC standards and safety protocols Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as forklifts for installation tasks Perform equipment installation, wiring, grounding, and system testing to ensure proper functionality Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively Requirements Proven experience in electrical work, preferably as an electrician or in construction site roles Knowledge of high voltage, low voltage systems, NEC standards, and blueprint reading Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment Experience with roofing, fixture installation, plumbing, or related construction activities is a plus Strong understanding of schematics and electrical diagrams for system setup and troubleshooting Ability to work at heights on roofs safely and efficiently Prior experience working on construction sites or in the construction industry is highly desirable Electrical license or NABCEP certifications preferred but not mandatory Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail This position is integral to delivering reliable solar energy solutions while maintaining high safety standards.
