About Coutts Brothers Coutts Brothers is a leader in utility services, construction, and renewable energy projects across New England. Position Summary We are seeking a hardworking and motivated Solar Laborer to join our Solar Division. This role supports the installation of solar arrays, site preparation, and general construction activities. The Solar Laborer will work as part of a team to complete solar projects safely, on time, and to Coutts Brothers' standards of excellence. Key Responsibilities Assist with the assembly and installation of solar panels, racking, and support structures. Perform site preparation, including trenching, grading, and equipment staging. Handle materials and equipment safely; load and unload project supplies. Support electricians and technicians with cable management, conduit installation, and grounding. Operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment. Follow all company safety protocols and participate in daily safety briefings. Maintain a clean and organized worksite. Perform other general labor duties as assigned to support project completion.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior construction or outdoor labor experience. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions. Comfort working at heights and on uneven terrain. Willingness to travel to project sites across the region. Strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork and safety.
Preferred:
Previous solar installation experience. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Experience with skid steers, forklifts, or other light equipment.
