Job Description

At Testo's Restaurant & Banquets, we are proud to serve authentic Italian cuisine rooted in over 50 years of family tradition, quality ingredients, and timeless hospitality. We are currently seeking an experienced, passionate, and hardworking Chef to join our culinary team and help continue the traditional values and standards that have defined Testo's for generations. ChefPosition Overview The Chef is responsible for leading kitchen operations while maintaining the quality, consistency, and authenticity that our guests have come to expect. The ideal candidate respects traditional Italian cooking methods, values homemade quality and presentation, and takes pride in preserving the integrity of our food and family recipes. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare and execute authentic Italian dishes with consistency, care, and attention to presentation Maintain the traditional values, quality, and standards of Testo's cuisine Ensure all dishes are prepared using proper cooking techniques, fresh ingredients, and established recipes Lead kitchen operations efficiently during busy restaurant and banquet services Oversee food preparation, cooking, plating, and timing Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen Train and support kitchen staff while promoting teamwork and professionalism Monitor inventory, food freshness, and kitchen supplies Assist with menu specials while staying true to the restaurant's authentic Italian identity Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed Work closely with ownership and management to uphold the reputation and traditions of the restaurant Qualifications Previous chef or high-level line cook experience required Strong background in Italian cuisine preferred Passion for authentic cooking and traditional food values Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong leadership and communication skills Reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Ability to handle high-volume service while maintaining food quality and consistency What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Family-owned and supportive work environment Opportunity to be part of a long-standing local restaurant tradition Fast-paced and professional kitchen atmosphere Employee dining discounts Opportunities to work private events, banquets, and special functions Location Testo's Restaurant & Banquets To apply, please submit your resume or stop in to fill out an application in person.
