Anaconda, MT 59711 What you will do Join a close-knit culinary team serving patients and residents in a small community hospital and assisted living setting, where your skills directly impact health, comfort, and quality of life. As Sous Chef, you bring creativity, compassion, and leadership to the kitchen helping deliver high-quality meals that nourish, comfort, and inspire. In this role, you are responsible for the daily operations of two kitchens. You provide hands-on leadership and direction to kitchen personnel, ensuring all recipes, food preparation, and presentation meet established standards and a commitment to quality, consistency, and care. You will... Support the Food Service Director in leading daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality meal preparation and presentation. Prepare scratch-made meals for patients, residents, staff, and occasional community events—tailored to specific dietary needs. Collaborate with dietitians and care teams to meet nutritional guidelines while keeping meals flavorful and appealing. Oversee kitchen staff during shifts; train and mentor team members to support a positive, efficient working environment. Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations and hospital policies. Monitor inventory and be responsible for ordering, receiving, and food storage to minimize waste and control costs. What you will bring 3+ years restaurant experience preferred 1-2 years healthcare/hospital experience a plus Strong leadership and communication skills Knowledge of dietary restrictions, nutrition standards, and food safety regulations Professional kitchen and scratch cooking experience preferred Culinary Arts degree a plus Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, email, and internet Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card required Must pass criminal background check (state and federal) and drug screening Who We Are Founded in 1986, Thomas Cuisine is an award-winning, privately held contract food service company.
