Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. Nights, Thursday through Mondays! You will be working sauté station during service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, manage food production processes, and contribute to a lively hospitality environment that values innovation and teamwork. Responsibilities Support the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food output. Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations across all food handling and preparation activities. Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and ingredient sourcing to maintain culinary excellence. Manage inventory control and ordering processes to minimize waste while ensuring adequate stock levels for all services. Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and timely execution. Lead shift management duties, including scheduling staff, monitoring performance, and maintaining a positive team environment. Qualifications Proven experience in fine dining establishments or similar high-end culinary environments. Extensive banquet experience coupled with strong supervisory skills. Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working within dietary departments is preferred. Demonstrated expertise in food production, kitchen management, and food service operations. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team management and motivation. Familiarity with inventory management systems and food safety standards. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
