Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at a country inn and conference center located approximately 15 miles from the Newnan, GA and Carrollton, GA areas. This position is primarily focused on evening shifts and includes both plated gourmet dinners and large-scale buffet service for groups and events. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and executing breakfast, lunch, and rustic fine dining dinner service, with a strong emphasis on evening dinner operations. This includes working comfortably with both plated multi-course meals and high-volume banquet production. The role also requires confidence working with whole muscle proteins such as beef, poultry, and pork, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to on-the-fly dietary restrictions including vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten-free, and other special requests while maintaining quality and presentation standards. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, event-driven kitchen environment and be comfortable supporting both small private dinners and larger group functions. Reliable transportation is required, along with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. A current ServSafe certification is also required. This is a strong opportunity for a motivated chef looking to build their portfolio, expand experience in both fine dining and banquet service, and contribute creativity and consistency to a growing kitchen program. Compensation is dependent on experience and demonstrated skill level.
