Job Description:

Company Information Southeast Emulsions (SEE) owns and operates bulk storage liquid asphalt terminals throughout the Southeast United States. These terminals supply products to the asphalt paving industry. Mission Southeast Emulsions is currently accepting applications for the position of: Bulk Liquid Terminal Operator. This is a full-time position with a guaranteed 40-hour work week and opportunities for advancement. Main Responsibilities Qualified candidates will be responsible for unloading rail cars, loading and unloading bulk liquid trailers, basic maintenance activities, certain manufacturing activities, upkeep of operational documents, and promoting a safe work environment by adhering to Colas safe work practices and watching out for fellow employees. Training and guidance will be provided. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma (optional).

Mechanical experience:

welding, pipe fitting and other mechanical experience (preferred) Commitment to being on time (required) Early morning shifts; 4:00am (occasionally) Basic computer skills (required) Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions The noise in the work environment is sometimes loud, however does not exceed the OSHA requirement for mandatory hearing protection. The employee must regularly work with hazardous materials (hot liquid asphalt) and chemicals. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather condition, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. This job requires overtime including working weekends and holidays, and rotating work shifts to provide continuous coverage for customer delivery/pickup. The employee's daily starting and quitting times may need to be changed in order to meet changing business requirements.
