Southwick Building Aide 26/27 SY

Southwick Elementary School is seeking a Building Aide (paraprofessional position) for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role is responsible for by providing assistance to teachers and support staff who are absent or attending meetings particularly at the lower primary levels. The Building Aide may be asked to provide coverage for lunch duty and the main office, assists with fire drills, and student monitoring, along with other duties as assigned by the Principal.

This is a school year position, 32.5 hours per week. Minimum starting pay $17.76/hour, with benefits.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Para II Certification preferred
• Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact in a positive manner with students, staff and parents
• Ability to work independently with little supervisionEOE
