Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers passionate about making a meaningful difference in students' lives. We are seeking multiple full-time professionals for the 2026-2027 academic year, offering both co-teaching and direct instruction positions. Candidates will work collaboratively in supportive school settings to help guide students toward academic and social success. Available assignments include a 6th-grade co-teaching role (serving approximately 11 students, SLD and OHI exceptionalities) and K-3rd grade direct instruction positions (serving about 10 students, exceptionalities include OHI, Autism, SLD, ID, and DD). Contract positions run from August 2026 to May 2027, providing ample opportunity to form lasting connections and create significant positive impacts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field Active Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) Experience with students with SLD, OHI, Autism, ID, and DD preferred Strong collaborative skills for effective co-teaching and team engagement Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Growth mindset and commitment to fostering inclusive environments
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to varied student needs Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers Develop, write, and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student growth
