Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or related field (Master's preferred) Previous experience working with K-12 special needs students Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and progress tracking Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning and behavioral needs Proficiency with technology for instruction and reporting
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and implement tailored lesson plans to address students' IEP goals Assess academic and developmental needs, monitoring student progress Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents Modify curriculum and provide accommodations to ensure student success Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations Attend meetings, contribute to multidisciplinary teams, and participate in ongoing professional development
