Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a big impact in early childhood education as a contracted special education teacher serving young learners near Milford, PA. This part-time opportunity offers a flexible schedule of 10 hours per week to start, with the potential for a full-time role as the school year progresses. Your work will be focused at a single campus, providing dedicated support to a growing caseload of students ages 3 to 5.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active and valid Special Education certification in Pennsylvania (SPED-PA) Previous experience teaching or supporting early childhood or preschool-aged children is ideal Knowledge of individualized instruction and best practices for students with diverse needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, parents, and administration Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students ages 3-5 Provide direct instruction and support tailored to each child's unique needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to ensure cohesive educational planning Collect and monitor student data to evaluate progress and adjust strategies Maintain accurate records and fulfill all compliance requirements Participate in meetings and professional development as needed This role comes with comprehensive insurance options, a 401k plan, and competitive pay ranging from $35 to $42 per hour.
