Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instruction tailored to meet the goals outlined in each student's IEP. Design and implement customized lesson plans and accommodations to address a wide range of learning and behavioral needs. Establish a structured, empathetic, and therapeutic classroom atmosphere that fosters student success. Collaborate regularly with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, behavior specialists, and other support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student development. Monitor and document student progress accurately, maintaining thorough records in accordance with program guidelines. Communicate consistently and clearly with families and colleagues regarding student achievements and needs.

Desired Qualifications:

Hold a valid Special Education teaching certification. Experience working in therapeutic, behavioral, or alternative educational settings is highly valued. Demonstrated strength in classroom management and effective behavior intervention strategies. Ability to foster strong, positive relationships with both students and staff members. Flexible to teach at either the middle or high school level, depending on expertise and preference.
