Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference every day by supporting students with diverse learning needs in an engaging educational environment. As a Special Education Teacher on a contract assignment, your expertise and dedication will empower students to achieve their fullest potential while working alongside a collaborative team of educators.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current teaching license with endorsement or certification in Special Education Experience adapting curriculum and instructional methods for students with disabilities Proven ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Effective communication skills with students, families, and school staff Strong classroom management strategies tailored to diverse learning needs Familiarity with educational technology and assistive devices is a plus
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver individualized instruction based on IEP goals Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff Monitor student progress and regularly update IEP documentation Employ evidence-based strategies to manage behavior and foster a positive classroom climate Act as a resource to parents, providing updates and recommendations for student success Participate in professional development and school meetings as required What to
