Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting middle school students for the 2026-2027 academic year. Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Special Education Teacher Prior experience working with middle school students or similar age groups Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Effective communication skills for working with students, families, and staff Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic, collaborative environments
Position Overview:
Provide specialized instruction and classroom support for middle school caseload Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs for students with diverse needs Collaborate closely with general education staff, administrators, and families Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies to promote academic, behavioral, and social growth Create a nurturing, inclusive environment for students to succeed Participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings This is a contract role running from August 2026 through June 2027, with a commitment of 32-37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The assignment is located near Hanover, NH, providing a great balance between professional fulfillment and work-life flexibility.
