Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to an impactful contract opportunity supporting K-3rd grade students for the full school year. Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification required Experience or training in working with elementary-aged children (K-3rd grade preferred) Deep understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance Ability to tailor instruction to meet individual student needs and learning styles Skilled communicator, able to collaborate with parents, related service providers, and fellow educators Patient, compassionate, and committed to fostering academic, social, and emotional growth
Your Role:
Deliver engaging instruction in alignment with students' IEP goals, using differentiated methods and materials Create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that encourages participation and independence Use assessment data to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies for optimal student outcomes Consult regularly with general education teachers and support staff to promote student integration Document progress, maintain records, and communicate updates to families and colleagues Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to student planning
