Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher serving grades 9 through 11 in a supportive secondary school environment near Silverdale, WA. From August 3, 2026, through June 16, 2027, you'll guide and educate a class of 25 dynamic students, helping them achieve their fullest academic and personal potential. This full-time position is ideal for compassionate educators with a passion for making a difference in the lives of exceptional learners.
Your mission:
deliver tailored instruction, promote an inclusive classroom atmosphere, and collaborate with fellow educators and support staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification in Special Education (SPED) for secondary grade levels Experience working with students in grades 9-11 preferred Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication and collaboration skills Flexibility and adaptability in meeting a variety of learning needs
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate varied learning styles Monitor student progress and document growth in accordance with IEP goals Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and specialists to support student success Create a positive, structured, and encouraging classroom environment Use assessment data to adjust instruction and support academic achievement
