Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Empower students to reach their full potential as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity invites a dedicated educator to make a meaningful impact by providing individualized instruction tailored to diverse learning needs.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification required Previous experience in classroom or resource settings strongly preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and documentation Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet students' unique learning profiles Passion for helping students with varying abilities achieve academic and personal growth
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with students' IEP goals Develop individualized educational plans and monitor progress toward established objectives Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments Maintain accurate student records, reports, and compliance documentation as required Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams to foster a strong support network for each student Utilize positive behavioral supports and classroom management strategies to promote a safe, respectful learning atmosphere
