Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a dedicated Learning Specialist in a vibrant elementary school environment. This contract position offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting a diverse group of students as part of a committed Special Education team. From May 11th through June 15th, 2026, you'll work full-time, helping students strengthen their learning skills and achieve individual goals. To excel in this role, you'll bring your expertise and enthusiasm for supporting elementary-age learners with exceptional needs. The Learning Center at this engaging elementary school provides a welcoming environment for both students and educators alike.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Experience working with elementary-age students in special education settings
  • Strong understanding of IEPs and the ability to implement individualized instruction
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments
Position Details & Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of approximately 25 students
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans based on student needs and IEP goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff
  • Track student progress, participate in IEP meetings, and provide regular updates
