Make a meaningful impact every day as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive K-2 setting dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of students. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 31, 2026 through June 4, 2027, featuring a structured Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You'll teach in a center-based classroom for young learners with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), working with a small group of approximately six students. Paraprofessional support and a collaborative atmosphere help create a positive and resource-rich environment for both students and staff.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License Preferred areas: ASD, DCD, ABS, or cross-categorical SPED licensure Strong background supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities Skilled in writing and implementing IEPs, collecting progress data, and using individualized interventions Proficient with behavioral support, classroom structure, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families Prior experience in center-based autism classrooms, knowledge of AAC, sensory regulation techniques, or functional skills instruction is especially valued
