Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity focuses on working within a self-contained classroom serving 7th-11th grade students with significant cognitive, developmental, or behavioral disabilities. Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teaching license for Michigan Emotional Impairment (EI) endorsement preferred Authorization to work in the United States Successful completion of background check and drug screening
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and support in a self-contained classroom setting Develop and implement educational plans tailored for students' unique learning needs Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive atmosphere for students with diverse abilities Collaborate with faculty, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each student Assess student progress and document behavioral and academic growth Adapt teaching strategies and materials to address learning differences and maximize student potential
