Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting middle and high school students as a Special Education Teacher in a welcoming and collaborative school environment near Dover, NH. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day, working closely with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Your expertise will shine as you provide individualized instruction and essential case management, ensuring each student receives the tailored support they need to thrive academically and socially. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with middle and/or high school students Familiarity with special education law and best practices Strong skills in case management, including IEP development and implementation Able to conduct thorough report writing and progress monitoring Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Passion for advocating and supporting diverse learnersKey Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and group instruction to students across middle and high school grades as outlined in IEPs Oversee caseload management, including assessment, program development, and collaboration with related service professionals Maintain accurate and timely case records, reports, and progress notes Deliver direct services, adapting curriculum and instruction to meet student needs Support inclusive education and work closely with general educators Communicate regularly with families, offering guidance and resources as needed If you are eager to make a lasting impact, advocate for students, and thrive in a dynamic, supportive environment, we want to hear from you!
