This contract opportunity offers you the ability to make a real difference, working with a manageable caseload of 12-15 students while building meaningful connections. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm, for a total of 37.5 hours per week.

What You Bring:

Valid South Dakota Special Education K-12 teaching license Experience supporting junior high or adolescent learners Strong communication and collaboration skills, working with students, families, and fellow educators Ability to adapt lessons and interventions for diverse learning needs Positive, student-focused attitude and proactive problem solving

Your Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instruction and support, both in push-in and pull-out settings Develop and implement IEPs, track student progress, and maintain necessary documentation Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment for students with exceptionalities Partner with colleagues and families to ensure all student needs are met Utilize creative methods and evidence-based practices to encourage growth and achievement
