Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting their growth in a welcoming school environment near Easton, MD. For the 2026-2027 academic year, a committed Special Education Teacher is sought to work with middle and high school students as part of a collaborative team. You'll be instrumental in an inclusive co-teaching model, primarily serving students within the general education classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and carry out individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Deliver specialized instruction through both push-in and pull-out services. Partner with general education teachers, related service staff, and families to support student success. Track student progress, update records, and provide consistent communication. Nurture an inclusive classroom that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.Preferred Qualities and Background:
Active Maryland Special Education License is required. Previous experience in a school setting or with IEP development is valued. Strong skills in teamwork, adaptation, and building positive classroom routines.Caseload Overview:
Support approximately 10-15 students at a time. Serve learners with a range of needs, including Other Health Impairments, learning disabilities, autism, and language impairments. Collaborate within a co-teaching model to provide most services in the general education setting. This position offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, from August 10, 2026, to June 16, 2027, working alongside a passionate team dedicated to inclusive education.
