Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs in a full-time, contract Special Education teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity is based in an alternative education environment and focuses on students identified with Emotional Disabilities (ED). The position offers a unique chance to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team while making a meaningful difference in a highly structured and therapeutic classroom setting.
Key Qualifications:
Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching certification or eligibility to obtain Prior experience working in ED, behavioral, or alternative school settings is highly preferred Demonstrated expertise in classroom management and crisis intervention Strong ability to implement individualized behavior intervention plans Commitment to remaining calm, consistent, and focused on student success in high-need situations
Core Responsibilities:
