This onsite contract opportunity calls for a dedicated Special Education Teacher eager to inspire students at Northwest Collegiate Academy. Work closely with colleagues and students, fostering growth and academic achievement in an inclusive environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Active Special Education Teacher certification, meeting NC state EC teaching requirements Experience in ELA inclusion settings within school environments, ideally with diverse student populations Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and adaptable teaching style Commitment to student-centered, evidence-based instruction and individualized support Ability to develop and implement IEPs, track progress, and work effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams
Position Highlights and Responsibilities:
Full-time schedule, 35 hours per week, with onsite presence required Serve as an ELA Inclusion Teacher, providing differentiated instruction and accommodations Develop, adapt, and deliver engaging lessons that align with students' IEP goals Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to develop inclusive practices and effective learning strategies Foster a positive and supportive classroom climate where all students feel valued Monitor student progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate effectively with families and staff Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school community events This rewarding position offers the chance to contribute to students' educational journeys, cultivate strong relationships, and enjoy the stability of a long-term contract.
