Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Travel professionals passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs will find this contract opportunity especially rewarding. This position is centered around working with 10th graders in a mild-to-moderate class, managing a focused caseload of 10 students. The program is designed to provide both co-teaching experiences in Alg 1, Geometry, and ELA 2, as well as targeted small group instruction, ensuring that each student receives the attention they need to thrive. In this position, you'll deliver meaningful instruction, collaborate closely with general education teachers, and support students' academic and social development through both co-taught and small group settings. Mathematics and reading interventions are prioritized, giving you the chance to make a direct and visible impact on student progress.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Special Education Teacher certification Experience with mild-to-moderate disabilities at the secondary level preferred Strong background in co-teaching models and small group interventions Ability to provide differentiated instruction in both math and English language arts Skill in developing and implementing IEPs Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
Teach a caseload of 10 tenth-grade students in a mild-moderate program Provide instruction both as a co-teacher in Alg 1, Geometry, and ELA 2, as well as in dedicated small group settings Deliver small group math and reading intervention aligned with students' IEP goals Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and IEP documentation Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment Shape the educational journey for students who benefit from individualized support.
