Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting early learners and families in the Hopkins, MN area as a dedicated Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) professional. This in-person role runs from August 7th through January 1st and offers the rewarding chance to make a difference for children from birth to age three. In this position, you'll collaborate closely with Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) teachers, provide thoughtful home and child care visits, and deliver high-quality support that fosters development during these crucial early years. Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher license with early childhood credentials Experience in Early Childhood Special Education, especially with children birth-age 3 Ability to conduct home and child care visits in the community Strong collaboration skills for working alongside ECFE educators and families Adaptability, compassion, and a child-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-person home and child care visits to assess needs, provide direct instruction, and model strategies for families and caregivers Partner with ECFE teachers to design and implement individualized plans for student growth Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings Serve as a positive, resourceful support for families navigating the early intervention process Uphold confidentiality and best practices in special education Experience a meaningful contract with the chance to build strong relationships, support a smooth transition during a maternity leave, and contribute expertise where it's truly needed.
