Job Description

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Special Education Compliance Officer. This full-time position is essential in ensuring that all special education programs and services comply with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advocating for students with disabilities and will work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to promote an inclusive educational environment. Responsibilities Monitor and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to special education. Maintain active and inactive student folders. Assists in providing training and support to school staff on special education laws, policies, and best practices. Serve as a liaison between the school, parents, and external agencies regarding special education issues. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports related to compliance activities. Performs other duties as requested by the Special Education Director. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of federal and state special education laws, regulations, and compliance requirements preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using technology and software relevant to special education management and compliance preferred.
