Immediately Job Description Job Requirements Valid Washington State Certificate with Special Education and other appropriate endorsement. Qualifications Demonstrated methods required to perform assignments for the purpose of providing an effective school program and addressing the needs of individual students including the ability to schedule activities, meetings, analyze and collect data, and use job-related equipment. Assesses students' social needs (behavioral, motor development, communication, etc.), academic needs, progress expectations, goals (developmental level, vocational abilities) for the purpose of evaluating students and family requirements, placement and success of the program. Administer, under supervision, first aid and assistance, also, but not limited to self-care and mobility, to medically fragile children for the purpose of providing appropriate care for children assigned. Directs instructional assistants, student aides for the purpose of maximizing their efficiency and meeting work requirements, providing an effective school program, and addressing the needs of individual students. Demonstrate understanding of state testing and accommodations for students, along with alternative assessments. Facilitate student learning for the purpose of improving success in academic, interpersonal and daily living skills and using best practice strategies and curriculum. Demonstrated interest, commitment, and ability to work positively with students at elementary grade level to manage behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and an optimal learning environment. Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to decision-making in collaboration with administrators and other staff members. Serve as a consultant, and/or provider of direct services to implement IEPs for children with disabilities in a variety of settings, including the classroom, and, when appropriate, other settings that provide services to children. Serve as an equal member of a teaching team in an inclusive program, when needed. Serve as a member of the district's IEP team and assist with assessment, program planning/IEP development, and placement offerings for service delivery for children with disabilities. Act as a member of an interdisciplinary team when designing/delivering services to children with disabilities, with working knowledge of specific learning disabled, hearing impaired, autism, visually impaired, multiple disabled, and other delays. Promote parent involvement in program and services. Other Duties as assigned. Terms of Employment

$56,858-$118,240 Based on education and experience 2026-27 Salary Schedule
Contract:
180 days, 7.5 Hrs/Day, 8:00-3:30
