POSITION DESCRIPTION
Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, competent and effective teacher with experience in utilizing best practices supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Early Childhood Developmental Delay, as well as other special needs. This teacher will need to be a highly collaborative employee and effective communicator in using both verbal and written skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Special Educationendorsement in Autism Spectrum Disorder (SV), Cognitive Impairments (SA), Emotional Impairments (SE), or Learning Disabilities (SM).
Additional Endorsement Preferred:
ZG Elementary K-5 All Subjects (K-8 All Subjects in Self-Contained Classroom) Must meet the Highly Qualified standard under the ESSA OR be recommended for acertificate or endorsement, constituting full approval in a special education area by an institution of higher education signifying verification of completion of a teacher program, as approved by the State Board of Education.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To effectively provide instruction to students with an Individualized Education Plan who exhibits a need for extensive, ongoing support across environments Information about Level 4 Programming from Oakland School's ISD Plan See page 22 To effectively communicate in writing and verbally with students, staff and families. To progress monitor students growth on IEP goals, report data to families, and provide grades quarterly. To be engaged while attending building and department meetings. To be a learner of your content and other school related topics to benefit students. Must sign Consent to BIll for Medicaid and complete Medicaid documents for billing daily. All Medicaid documents must be uploaded to MiStar monthly. Other duties assigned by the special education director or the building principal EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's or higher required .
LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS
Ability to speak and write effectively. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
