We are looking for passionate, patient, and supportive individuals to join our team at Janssen Elementary School (4k - 4th Grade). This is a rewarding, full-time 10-month position where no prior experience is required ! We are committed to providing the necessary training to help the right candidate succeed in this important role. If you have a High School Diploma and a desire to help students, we encourage you to apply! Hours and Schedule This position begins in May . It is full-time, totaling 37.5 hours per week, with a consistent schedule:
  • Monday -
Friday:
8:00am - 4:00pm with an unpaid 30 minute lunch What You'll Be Doing (Training Provided) As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you'll be a vital part of supporting our students.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Work with students with varying disabilities in supporting educational and/or community programming
  • Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce academic material
  • Assist student(s) with physical tasks such as putting on and taking off of outerwear, moving from room to room, and using the lavatory
  • Monitor and reinforce student performance through observation; perform data collection, compilation and other record keeping duties
  • Use District vehicles to transport students to and from assigned destinations
  • Be responsible for student safety and follow safety procedures What We Are Looking For We believe the most important qualities for this role are a positive attitude and commitment to student success.

  • CPR/First Aid Certified may be required (training provided) Pay and Benefits

$16.70 per hour
