Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a dedicated paraprofessional to provide one-on-one support to a student in an ASD classroom. This contract position offers steady hours and the chance to make a lasting impact on a 4th-grade student who benefits from individualized attention and instruction. In this role, you'll work primarily with one student—a male in the fourth grade with ASD—within a supportive elementary school environment. Responsibilities will involve prompting for toileting needs, while all feeding tasks are managed independently by the student. Candidates should be comfortable supporting a student who may elope and who requires tailored instruction throughout the school day.

Qualifications and Experience:

Active paraprofessional credentials are required Associate's degree or higher At least two years of direct experience as a paraprofessional Previous experience with ASD preferred Ability to provide patient, individualized support and remain attentive to safety Strong communication skills and the capacity to collaborate with educators

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized support to assigned student throughout the school day Assist with personal care routines, including prompting for toileting as needed Support classroom activities and foster engagement Monitor student safety, including elopement prevention Implement teacher-directed interventions and strategies Maintain documentation and communicate progress with the instructional team

Position Details:

Contract position starting immediately through June 4, 2026, with possible ESY extension based on performance Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:15am - 3:45pm (30 hours per week, 6-hour days) Assignment is at a single elementary campus This is a rewarding role for a credentialed paraprofessional ready to give focused support and enrich the educational experience of an individual student.
