Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Current and valid New York State Teaching Assistant certification required (Aides may also need certification). Previous experience in a 1:1 paraprofessional or teacher aide capacity strongly preferred. Demonstrated commitment to supporting students' unique needs in an educational setting. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families. Responsive, patient, and adaptable in fast-paced classroom situations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated, one-on-one assistance to assigned student(s), supporting individualized education goals. Aid in academic activities, classroom management, and daily routines as guided by supervising staff. Implement teacher-directed strategies and accommodations to foster student engagement and learning. Monitor student progress and share relevant observations with teaching staff.
