Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Soliant is seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers for multiple full-time, school-based openings in the St. George, South Carolina area for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions are available within elementary, middle, and high school settings serving students in grades K-12. We are currently hiring for Resource Teachers, Core Replacement Teachers, and Moderate to Severe Special Education Teachers. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct instruction and classroom support for students with varying learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and school staff.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Adapt instructional materials to meet individual student needs.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification required.
- Soliant offers Licensing Assistance for qualified candidates.
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or related field.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
- Passion for supporting diverse learning needs.
