In this role, you will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), create engaging lesson plans tailored to each student's abilities, and foster a positive classroom environment that promotes growth, independence, and confidence. Your energy and commitment will help unlock every student's potential, ensuring they receive the personalized attention they deserve in a nurturing setting. Duties Design and deliver customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards while addressing individual student needs in areas such as literacy, math, speech therapy, and behavioral management. Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to set achievable goals. Implement evidence-based behavioral therapies and classroom management strategies to support students with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health challenges. Utilize a variety of instructional techniques including Montessori methods, early childhood education principles, and literacy education strategies to engage students effectively. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly. Provide speech therapy support and collaborate with speech-language pathologists to enhance communication skills among students. Manage classroom environments proactively to ensure safety, foster positive behavior, and promote an inclusive atmosphere for all children. Offer mentorship and tutoring to help students improve academic skills in core subjects such as reading, writing, math, and library services when applicable. Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, behavior reports, and IEP compliance records with accuracy and transparency. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education best practices, behavioral health techniques, and new curriculum developments. Experience Proven classroom experience working with children in special education settings or early childhood education environments. Demonstrated expertise in developing curriculum tailored for students with disabilities or developmental delays. Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), hearing impairments such as deaf education needs, or other developmental disabilities. Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques and behavior management strategies for diverse learners. Knowledge of IEP processes, standardized testing procedures, and federal/state special education regulations. Previous private school or preschool experience is highly desirable; familiarity with Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is a plus. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, therapists, and support staff while advocating for student success. Join us in making a meaningful difference by empowering children through innovative teaching methods and compassionate support!
