We partner with schools, districts, state agencies, and other organizations providing education and education related support to implement innovative, research-based solutions that promote student success. SPN fosters inclusive, high-performing learning environments where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. About this position SPN is seeking a , bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities in a high school setting. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with special education laws, develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborate with staff and families to support student success. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Provide direct instruction and/or inclusion support for students with disabilities
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning, behavioral, and language needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of goals, accommodations, and services
  • Participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings and communicate with families
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and Texas special education requirements
  • Support positive behavior interventions and classroom management strategies
  • Maintain accurate records using student information systems (SIS) Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certification in Special Education
  • Bilingual in Spanish (required)
  • ESL Certified or in process of obtaining certification
  • Knowledge of IEP development, ARD processes, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to pass federal background check requirements Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in special education or related field
  • Experience in inclusion, co-teaching, and differentiated instruction
  • Familiarity with behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and progress monitoring tools
  • Experience with technology-based or blended learning environments Skills & Abilities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to manage documentation and maintain compliance with legal requirements
  • Knowledge of instructional accommodations and modifications
  • Experience with student information systems (SIS)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist students as needed
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, and move throughout instructional periods Compensation & Benefits Salary $79,000
