Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of elementary students through a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher. This full-time, onsite role aligns perfectly with dedicated educators who are passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs in a center-based program.
Key Qualifications:
Active Colorado Special Education Teacher license required Experience working in elementary school settings preferred Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet unique student needs Positive, team-oriented attitude ready to collaborate with staff, students, and families
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support to elementary students within a center-based classroom Design and implement IEPs specific to individual student goals Collaborate closely with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff Document progress and maintain regular communication with parents and guardians Utilize evidence-based strategies to support diverse learners Foster an encouraging, safe, and respectful classroom culture Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development as needed
