Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students as an ELA Inclusion Teacher within a dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference every day, working closely with students who require special educational services. Focusing on English Language Arts inclusion, you'll be instrumental in helping learners reach their full potential. Your role will be onsite at a respected academy, working 35 hours per week with a consistent caseload and schedule. You'll collaborate with fellow educators and staff to implement individualized education plans, deliver engaging instruction, and ensure compliance with state and federal educational standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid North Carolina Exceptional Children (EC) teaching certification required Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher, especially with inclusion models Demonstrated skill in adapting ELA curriculum for diverse learning needs Strong collaboration and communication abilities Ability to organize, document, and implement IEPs effectively Dedication to supporting the success and growth of each student
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver differentiated ELA instruction in an inclusion setting Develop, implement, monitor, and adjust individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide timely feedback Foster an engaging, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Benefits of this
