Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting students with diverse learning needs in a contract position beginning August 2026 and ending May 2027. You'll focus on delivering exceptional special education services for a varied caseload of K-12 students, including 11 elementary-aged learners, 4 middle schoolers, and the possibility of a few high school students. This is a full-time opportunity, averaging 35 hours per week, at a single school location near Menno, SD. Your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will make a significant difference by providing tailored instruction, collaborating with classroom teachers, and supporting students' academic and personal growth.
Qualifications:
Valid South Dakota Special Education (SPED) K-12 teaching certificate Experience working with elementary, middle, and high school students preferred Familiarity with crafting and implementing IEPs for diverse learners Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff and families Flexibility and adaptability to meet students' varied educational needs
Key Responsibilities:
