Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students in the 4th to 6th grade as a Special Education Teacher. This full-time, contract position provides an engaging environment where your dedication and skills will make a direct impact. You'll work within a resource room setting, managing a caseload of 22 students who benefit from individualized instruction and support. The assignment begins August 4, 2026 and continues through May 22, 2027, providing you the chance to build strong connections and see your students grow.
Qualifications:
Active Indiana Special Education (SPED) Certification Solid understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and best practices in differentiated instruction Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and fellow educators Previous experience in resource room settings is a plus
Responsibilities:
Deliver instruction aligned with IEP goals and state standards for 4th-6th grade students in a resource room Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that address both academic and social-emotional needs Track and report on student progress, maintaining up-to-date records and timely communication with families and staff Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers for inclusive student support Foster a positive, encouraging classroom environment where every student can thrive This role offers between $35 and $40 per hour, for 37.5 hours over 5 days each week.
