Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Shape the future of young learners by making a meaningful difference in their educational journey as a Special Education professional. Engage with students in self-contained behavior and autism-focused classrooms, guiding them through critical developmental years from Kindergarten through high school. Collaborate with passionate colleagues and support diverse learners through innovative instruction and positive behavior interventions. This contract opportunity spans the academic year, providing both challenge and reward as you help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Roles are available for energetic, compassionate educators at both the elementary and secondary levels, including positions with a focus on behavior intervention, emotional disabilities, and autism spectrum needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Texas Special Education Certification (non-negotiable) Generalist or Self Contained Endorsement required Experience working with students with emotional disabilities, autism, or OHI is highly valued Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills Dedication to supporting individualized student needs and creating inclusive learning environmentsPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction and interventions in self-contained and support settings Foster positive classroom culture emphasizing respect and achievement Develop and implement IEP goals in alignment with state and district standards Use data-driven approaches to monitor progress and adapt strategies Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administration Maintain detailed records to support student growthBenefits & Environment:
