Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities are available for experienced Special Education Teachers passionate about supporting students' growth in a school setting near Pineville, LA! Two dedicated professionals are needed on a contract basis for the 2026/2027 school year.
Available Positions:
Position 1: Full-time role for the 2026/2027 school year, working primarily with Pre K through 5th grade students. An Early Interventionalist Certificate is required for this position. Caseload details will be updated as assignments are finalized. Position 2: Immediate start is available, allowing you to become familiar with school guidelines ahead of the new academic year. This role focuses on foundational learning for students in Pre K through 2nd grade.
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher. Early Interventionalist Certificate required for Position 1. Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in Pre K-5th grade settings. Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to develop, implement, and monitor student progress. Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, faculty, and multidisciplinary teams. Dedication to meeting the diverse learning needs of each student.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to students' IEPs. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to align instructional strategies. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success. Keep accurate records and ongoing documentation in accordance with school policies and state requirements. Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support to students with varying abilities.
